Areas of Competition

On Stage Introduction (Required)

The introduction portion of the competition is for Little Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss, Miss, Ms, Mrs & Elite Ms contestants only. Tiny Miss and Future Little Miss will still walk on stage, but the emcee’s will read their information.

We want our Miss United States Agriculture Queens to be well spoken and feel comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. This is your opportunity to tell the judges about your state and its agricultural base!

 

Attire for this area of competition is solid white bottoms with your Miss United States Agriculture T-Shirt that you will pick up at check-in. Bottoms can be shorts, pants, skirt or capris. Bottoms MUST BE SOLID WHITE. You can wear a belt if you choose and shoe color is of your choosing.

Evening Wear (Required)

Onstage Question (Required)

An age-appropriate question will be asked to encourage contestants to show their communication ability! Each contestant will pull their question from a bowl. Each question will be different.

 

Questions will be age appropriate and not political or controversial in nature.

This area of competition is done after contestants are finished with their self-introduction.

Time Limit: One minute

Interview (Optional)

Little Miss through Elite Divisions Only

​

Interview is a one-on-one session with the judges! Questions will be age appropriate.

 

Dress will be the same as the on stage Introduction. The Miss United States Agriculture Tee Shirt and white bottoms. You can wear a belt if you choose and shoe color is of your choosing.

​

Time Limit: The interview will last three minutes with a thirty-second warning at 2 minutes and 30 seconds. When the attendant opens the door to let you know three minutes is up, you WILL have the time to finish answering your question.

State Fun Fashion (Optional)

Get creative and create an outfit that represents your state and/or county! 

 

While the contestant is modeling on stage a presubmitted stage card will be read by the emcee’s. It should be six to eight sentences and discuss what you are wearing and why.  

 

Time Limit: One minute

Photogenic (Optional)

Photos are submitted via an online submission. They must have the contestant in them and they can be in color or black and white. Contestants should have a headshot, portrait, or any image that appropriately fits the contestant's personality. The contestant SHOULD NOT be wearing her crown and sash.

Each contestant can submit up to 3 photos. The first photo is free, and the other photos are $25/photo or $50/2 photos.

Essay (Optional)

Tiny Miss and Future Little Miss Are Not Eligible to Participate

750 words or less & MLA Format. DO NOT INCUDE YOUR NAME/TITLE. Include your contestant number that was posted by the directors. 

​

What should the Essay be about? Choose ONE from the following: 

​

"How have you grown your agriculture experience in the Miss United States Agriculture program?"

"If you were to choose one word to describe Agriculture Advocacy, what would it be and why?"

"How has your platform influenced your agriculture story?"

This will be submitted before the pageant!
